Listening Session on Defining Primary Care and Behavioral Health Care Expenditures

Listening Session on Defining Primary Care and Behavioral Health Care Expenditures

DATE: January 28, 2020

On February 12th the Center for Health Information and Analysis (CHIA) will hold a listening session to solicit public comments and feedback on proposed updates to CHIA's data specifications to better measure primary care and behavioral health spending in the Commonwealth.

This proposal aims to reflect the emerging interest in Massachusetts to measure these spending categories and is consistent with CHIA's mission to create and curate data assets that support evidence based policy making and program oversight. Details on the draft data specifications can be found here.

It is important to note that the proposed updates to the data specifications are not intended to fulfill any specific initiative or legislative proposal but will provide a foundational data set that can be leveraged and adapted to support future initiatives and policies related to primary care and behavioral health.
