Overview

The Center for Health Information and Analysis (CHIA) is now collecting cost reports for the fiscal year (FY) 2023 from Group Adult Foster Care (GAFC) providers. CHIA collects these reports pursuant to regulation 957 CMR 6.00. The reports are used by CHIA and other public entities for monitoring costs and for health care payment policy development. Dual providers of both Group Adult Foster Care (GAFC) and Adult Foster Care (AFC) services must file separate cost reports.

GAFC providers are required to submit the following:

• The FY2023 GAFC Cost Report
• FY2023 Financial Statements
• A Statement of Certification

Filing Application

CHIA will only accept cost reports in .xlsx format, which was introduced with Excel 2007. Supporting documents such as the Statement of Certification should be in PDF format.

There are no new changes to the FY2023 GAFC Cost Report.

Providers must have submitted reports and all supplemental items directly to CHIA at data@chiamass.gov no later than Wednesday, May 10, 2024.
